Privacy Policy

TrivAI (trivaigame.com) is a trivia game. We collect as little as we can get away with, and we don't sell any of it. Here's the full picture.

What we collect, and why

• A session cookie. A random ID that keeps your game working — your score, your progress, your daily-challenge streak. It doesn't identify you personally. This is essential to the game and can't be turned off.
• Gameplay data. The topics you enter, the answers you pick or type, hints used, scores, and question reports. We use this to run the game, fix wrong questions, and make the game better.
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the game is used (which screens, how far people play). Google sets its own cookies for this. See Google's privacy policy.
• Feedback. If you send feedback, we store your message and — only if you choose to give it — your email, which we'll use solely to reply. To keep out spam we also record the submitting session and IP address with the message.
• Advertising measurement. We use the Meta (Facebook) pixel to measure whether our ads work. It loads for everyone who visits, not only people who arrive from an ad, and it records page views plus four gameplay milestones: starting a game, finishing a daily challenge, sending a challenge, and accepting one. Meta sets its own cookies for this and has its own privacy policy; you can adjust how Meta uses this data in your Meta ad preferences. We never send it your topics, answers, email, or anything you type.

AI processing

TrivAI's questions are generated and checked by AI. The topics you enter and the answers you type are sent to our AI providers (such as OpenAI) to generate questions, verify facts, and grade typed answers. Don't put personal information in topics or answers — it isn't needed to play.

What we don't do

• No accounts, no passwords, no profiles.
• We don't sell or rent your data to anyone.
• We don't send you email unless you asked for a reply to your feedback.

Sharing

When you share a score or challenge link, only what's on that card is shared: the name you typed (optional), the topic, the score, and the result pattern.

Retention

Gameplay data is kept to operate the game and improve question quality. Feedback is kept until it's been handled. You can ask us to delete your feedback (and the email on it) via the feedback form.

Children

TrivAI is a general-audience game and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
